Our Own Grand Design

My husband and I are in the process of renovating and extending a loft barn, it has become our very own little grand design that will be our home in the New Year. It is set in the most picturesque part of the valley which is perfect to get my creative juices flowing.  As you know with any renovation project you enjoy all the highs as well as working through all the challenges it presents you.

Well, this week is an exciting week, we finally received our new windows and doors from the The Woodworkers Company. They have done a fantastic job and the craftmanship is superb.

So with that came a weekend of painting, painting and more painting. As the weather is not on our side, we needed to make sure they were oiled and sealed before the new set of storms arrive.

I will continue to update this blog with barn updates, it is an exciting time for me as i can put my passion and design skills to the test, nothing like a bit of pressure when it comes to designing your own home…

Congratulations, I have seen the barn in raw and your baby steps have made a huge difference to it’s beauty.
Hard work and using muscles you did not know you had has made a huge difference and I look forward to seeing the next step.

This is truly exciting; the mere fact that you have included the raw natural beauty of the landscape in your design, with the hints of modern is extremely clever. Well done, I am impressed and cannot wait to see the next instalment…
